How You'll Perform the Role Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc.

Handle dismantling and rebuilding work.
Grind rubber rolls Make parts needed, ensuring that specifications are correct.
Cut shafts.
Draw blueprints and sketches of work.
Make plate cylinders, ensuring they fit appropriately down to each detail.
Make gears, figuring and ensure correct dimensions, using gear shaper.
Repair machine breakdowns as needed.
Build up, grind, and reweld shafts.
Weld various items made of steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel; braze or weld brass.
Handle sheet metal work, such as making guards and ink pens.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Respond to radio calls as needed.
Keep equipment clean.
Meet/achieve job goals set forth by management.
Solid understanding of company machinery in order to handle job duties.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
What We Need From You High school diploma or GED Machinist trade school experience is helpful 3-5 years of applicable work experience is required.
Mechanical Machinist experience is preferred.
Will need the ability to set up and run lathes and milling machines (Bridgeport).
Will make cylinders and chaise threads, make complete parts and determine correct specifications.
Machine Operation
Experience:
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and welding experience, to fabricate components and parts based on technical specifications.
BONUS
Experience:
Welding various items made of steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel; braze or weld brass.
Reading Blueprints
Experience:
Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to understand the design and dimensions of the required parts.
Ability to draw blueprints and sketches of work.
Manual milling experience (i.
e.
cutting piece of metal cut a channel or keyway) Extracting broken part from machinery safely.
