How You'll Perform the Role Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.
Mechanically set up and operate bag machine and support equipment in conversion of paper to bags.
Ensure that bags are being produced according to our quality requirements and specifications.
Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.
Utilize lockout/tagout as required, following established policy; ensure guarding is in place at all times.
Keep work area clean and organized, per 5S standards.
Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc.

Make sure machinery is running properly and safely, meeting all production goals set by management.
Guide employees in working area.
Adjust and make sure machines are repaired as instructed by Adjuster Supervisor.
Must be able to legibly fill out all reports and be able to perform job duties of other classifications on a relief basis.
Must be able to assist in training and retraining of new employees.
Make sure all waste is kept to a minimum and meets standards set forth by management.
Meet/achieve safety, quality, production, waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
What We Need From You Prefer:
5-7 years' of machine operating experience.
Must:
have mechanical skills such as:
reading and interpreting blueprints and job orders to determine production specifications and accurately using various measuring, hand, and power tools.
pass a Mechanical Test have basic reading, math and communication skills.
have the ability to make adjustments and minor repairs, with good working knowledge of machinery.
be able to problem solve when working around machinery.
be able to communicate effectively with management and hourly employees.
be able to read and interpret machine drawing and parts manuals.
be able to correctly read a ruler and use various hand tools/industrial equipment.

Salary:
$20 per hour.
