How You'll Perform the Role Must put safety for themselves and others first, always working in a safe environment with proper tools, procedures and the execution of tasks.
Responsible for design implementation and the redesign and modification of machinery that will increase production and reduce waste.
Assist with the installation and startup of new machinery, making modifications, and testing machine production.
Troubleshoot for any mechanical problems on all bag making equipment.
Keep management updated on the status of projects.
Coordinate assistance with machine problems.
Work with Machine Shop to have parts made to correct specifications.
Work with Adjustor Supervisors on machine upkeep.
Help Adjustor Supervisors in the performance of their jobs.
Makes sure temporary repairs are revisited and made correctly.
Makes sure employees keep work area clean and perform their work safely.
Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair/beard nets, etc.
as required.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
What We Need From You Must have an eye for details, root cause, and areas for improvements.
Should have good communication skills.
Must have thorough understanding of machinery design, repair, and modification.
Must be able to plan and carry out any needed changes.
Must have creativity in order to envision improvements.
Mechanical aptitude in the areas of hydraulics & pneumatics.
Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
Should take approximately one year to learn the basic components of the position.
